9/15/2006 Second Annual Powhatan Chess Classic

Our Cub Scout District will be holding its 2nd Annual Chess Classic on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the Potomac Baptist Church in Potomac Fall, VA. They are currently looking for adult volunteers for planning and on the day of the event. If interested, please contact Roger Claff at reclaff@aol.com.

9/06/2006 Joint Scouting Night

I hope everyone is getting back in the swing of school. Of course with the start of school, scouting starts up again.

Join Scouting Night will be held on Tues Sept 19th. The First Pack Meeting will be Tues Sept 26th.

For returning scouts, you can turn your dues in to your den leader or stop
by the Oak Hill Cafeteria at 8 pm. Dues for this year are $50 plus $12 if you want to receive Boy's Life Magazine.


I am also in need of 4-5 volunteers from 7 to 8 pm on the 19th to help new families fill out and turn in their forms and help with activities for those boys that come. If you can help out (and want to get your volunteer job out of the way early for only 1 hour of your time), please let me know. Quick, 2 minute training is provided.

9/06/2006 Big Apple Circus

I once again have 125 seats on reserve for the Big Apple Circus at Dulles Town Center on Oct 9th (Columbus Day) at 4:30 for the Pack's first fall event. Cost this year is $14 per seat. Under 3 do not need a ticket if they will be sharing a seat with Mom or Dad.

If you would like tickets, please email me with the scout's name and number or tickets. Payment will need to be made on or before the September Pack Meeting on the 26th.
